Job summary

Fourgrounds Coffee is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily café operations, with hands-on leadership on the floor and a focus on service standards, team development, and consistent execution.

You will mentor Shift Leads and baristas, guide scheduling, inventory, and training, and step in as the primary café leader when needed, helping to maintain hospitality, quality, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Barista and Shift Lead responsibilities at a high level.
• Support the GM in daily café operations.
• Serve as manager on duty during shifts and lead when GM is unavailable.
• Provide consistent leadership and direction to staff.
• Coach, train, and support employees to uphold standards.
• Develop Shift Leads to independently lead shifts.
• Monitor service, staffing, cleanliness, product quality, and guest experience.
• Step in on the floor or with operations as needed.
• Address guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Assist with scheduling, inventory, and labor management.
• Maintain familiarity with POS, scheduling, inventory, and cafe systems.
• Support events and community activities.
