Job summary

ASH Hotels is seeking a Cafe and Lobby Manager to lead the full-service cafe and bar program on Venice Beach. You will manage front-of-house operations, staff, and guest experience while coordinating with the front desk and events.

The role requires hands-on leadership, cost controls, and the ability to switch between service and management tasks, including reviewing weekly P&L and maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of food and beverage management experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hotel setting.
• Experience overseeing multiple dayparts (breakfast through dinner) and bar operations.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate a small team.
• Solid understanding of P&L, cost controls, and labor management.
• Experience with POS systems and basic reporting.
• Food handlers and responsible alcohol certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across all three meal periods and bar service.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise cafe staff.
• Ensure health and safety certifications and standards are met.
• Maintain inventory, orders, and supplier relationships.
• Coordinate with front desk for in-room dining and events.
• Act as MOD in absence of an operations manager.
