Job summary

Urban Air Café in Jacksonville, FL seeks a hands-on Café Lead to oversee shift operations, guide the Team, and ensure fast, friendly service in the kitchen and service areas while upholding food prep and guest-experience standards.

You will train staff, enforce safety and hygiene, and assist guests with concerns when the Café Manager is unavailable. Prior food-service leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 6–12 months of prior food and beverage experience (quick service/restaurant).
• 1 year leadership experience preferred and ServSafe or similar certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Support the proper execution of all café processes, systems, and standards.
• Ensure deliveries are received and logged when the Café Manager is not present.
• Maintain storage and rotation to minimize wastage.
• Manage the Café Team to meet expected standards.
• Adhere to shifts, and stay beyond when needed.
• Train staff in preparing menu items and front-of-house drinks and foods to high standards.
• Set and model punctuality, attendance, and professional behavior.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene, including regular deep cleans.
• Maintain organized café and storage areas.
• Handle guest concerns in the absence of the Café Manager.
• Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
