Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking a Cafe Concierge to welcome guests and guide them through our café offerings. You will craft and serve coffee beverages, maintain a clean bar area, and ensure every guest has a warm, engaging experience in our coffee shop.

As the Café Concierge, you will handle orders, process payments, restock inventory, and coordinate with management to uphold the inviting spirit of Indigo Road’s café locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of barista experience.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Positive energy and teamwork.
• 18+ with relevant restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Create, prepare, and serve coffee beverages per recipes and record orders accurately.
• Receive and serve food and drink orders to guests at the bar; process payments and report tips.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, wash and sterilize glassware, set up and breakdown bar items.
• Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and report equipment issues to the restaurant manager.
• Wipe tables, chairs, counters and other surfaces in the café throughout the day.
• Maintain a friendly and engaging manner with all guests.
• Rotate and maintain product sell dates.

The Role:

Nothing awakens your senses like the smell of fresh ground coffee beans in the morning. You love nothing more than creating the delicate and divine latte art, and ensuring every cup o’ Joe is made with love.

At Indigo Road, the Café Concierge serves as the first point of contact for guests—offering warm hospitality, guiding them through our offerings, and ensuring a seamless, inviting café experience. This role blends customer service and operational support to uphold the welcoming spirit of our coffee shop.

What we will ask of you:

• Create, prepare, and serve the coffee beverages based on recipes and record drink orders accurately
• Receive and serve food and drink orders to guests seated at the bar, accept and process guest payment, and report cash and credit card gratuities received to comply with the IRS standards of reporting income
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including coffee station and bar tops, wash and sterilize glassware, set up and breakdown all bar items
• Assist the restocking & replenishment of bar inventory and supplies and report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
• Wiping down tables, chairs, counters and other surfaces in the café throughout the day
• Maintain a friendly and engaging manner with all guests
• Rotate and maintain product to sell dates

Requirements for Success:

• At least 1 year of barista experience
• A flexible schedule to work mornings, weekends and holidays required.
• Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
• Be 18 years of age or older and at least one year of prior restaurant or relevant experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
