Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is hiring a Barista at our Asheville location. You will create and serve coffee beverages, record drink orders, and ensure guests have an exceptional experience at the bar. A friendly attitude, reliability, and accurate cash handling are essential.

Qualifications

• Have a positive energy and be ready to assist fellow staff and work as a team player.
• At least one year of barista or similar experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
• A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.

Responsibilities

• Create, prepare, and serve coffee beverages based on recipes and record drink orders accurately.
• Receive and serve food and drink orders to guests at the bar, process payments, and report tips for IRS reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including coffee station and bar tops, wash and sterilize glassware, set up and breakdown bar items.
• Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and report equipment problems to the restaurant manager.

The Role

Nothing awakens your senses like the smell of fresh ground coffee beans in the morning. As a Barista You love nothing more than creating the delicate and divine latte art, and ensuring every cup o’ Joe is made with love.

What we will ask of you

• Create, prepare, and serve the coffee beverages based on recipes and record drink orders accurately
• Receive and serve food and drink orders to guests seated at the bar, accept and process guest payment, and report cash and credit card gratuities received to comply with the IRS standards of reporting income
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including coffee station and bar tops, wash and sterilize glassware, set up and breakdown all bar items
• Assist the restocking & replenishment of bar inventory and supplies and report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
