Position Summary

The Cashier / Cook is responsible for preparing and serving quality food while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café and food service environment. This role combines food preparation, cashiering, stocking, sanitation, and guest interaction to ensure a positive dining experience for customers. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a passion for food service, and maintains high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and professionalism.

Primarily daytime hours, Monday through Friday 630am to 3pm or 8am to 430pm

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

• Prepare and cook hot and cold food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with food service operations, including grill, deli, grab-and-go, and other café stations.
• Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation standards are maintained.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout the shift.

Cashiering & Customer Service

• Operate the cash register and accurately process customer purchases.
• Handle credit card transactions, and register balancing.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and promptly resolve customer concerns.
• Greet customers and create a welcoming dining experience.

Café Operations

• Stock beverages, snacks, disposables, condiments, and other café supplies.
• Assist with inventory management and product replenishment.
• Support catering events, meetings, and special functions as needed.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the café and food preparation areas.
• Help maintain coffee, beverages, and self-service stations.
• Perform other food service and café-related duties as assigned.
