Job summary

The Mather in Evanston, IL is seeking a Café & Bar Attendant to provide pleasurable dining experiences with professional, timely service to residents, guests, and staff. This full-time position follows a Monday–Friday 12:00 PM–8:00 PM schedule, with weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications include Illinois Food Handlers and TIPS/BASSETT certification prior to start, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly.
• Ensure accurate, safe, timely food service and order accuracy.
• Describe and upsell food/beverage offerings from the menu.
• Operate espresso machine and ensure quality products.
• Prepare cocktails and other beverages per recipes.
• Provide table service and follow service standards.
• Close out checks accurately using POS system.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance in Georgian Lounge.
• Buss and reset tables; complete side work.
• Communicate concerns to supervisors and uphold sanitation standards.
