Job summary

The Harpeth Hotel in historic downtown Franklin, part of Valor Hospitality Partners, is seeking Café Attendants to craft drinks and small plates for McGavock’s Coffee & Provisions. AM shifts run 6:30am–2pm or 8am–3:30pm; full-time and part-time roles with schedule flexibility are available.

Hourly wages range from $17 to $22, with daily shift meals, medical/dental/vision benefits for full-time staff, and additional perks.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• 3–6 months in a food and beverage environment preferred (hotel experience).
• Ability to mix drinks correctly and provide exceptional guest service.
• Ability to multitask and operate bar equipment with modern technology.
• Fluency in reading, speaking, and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve drinks following guidelines and safety standards.
• Provide cordial, efficient, and professional guest service.
• Ring guest checks, handle cash and charges per policy.
• Prepare requisitions and supply lists.

The Harpeth Hotel in historic downtown Franklin is looking for Café Attendants to join our team in providing one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests! Our café attendants will prepare drinks and small plates for McGavock’s, our on-site full service breakfast and lunch restaurant.

McGavock’s Coffee & Provisions is a beloved neighborhood cafe serving more than just breakfast and lunch, we provide a warm and welcoming spot for people to gather. Our cafe attendants provide the warmth and care that makes McGavock’s the best in the community, and they have fun doing it! We are looking for individuals
who are passionate about delivering exemplary service and a one-of-a kind experiences for our guests.

AM shifts only, up to 7 days a week, with shifts from 6:30am-2pm or 8am-3:30pm. Full-time & part-time hours available, along with schedule flexibility to help with school hours, family needs, additional jobs, and more. From $17-22 an hour. Free daily shift meals and beverages. We offer medical, dental, vision benefits and additional coverages for full-time team members.

POSITION PROFILE

Responsible for set-up, mixing of drinks, service and clean-up of coffee bar area while ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction and the achievement/maintenance of company standards and profit maximization

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES

• Make and serve drinks to guests following established guidelines, procedures, and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.

• Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.

• Ring guest checks; collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures.

• Complete requisitions and supply lists.

• Ensure established pars are maintained.

• Perform all side work duties.

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school education or equivalent education/experience.
• Three to Six months in a food and beverage services environment or establishment. Hotel experience preferred.
• Able to mix drinks correctly. Provide exceptional service to all guests.
• Able to multitask and handle all the equipment especially in a bar that uses modern technology. Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverage.
• Able to read, speak, and understand English. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff, and guests.
