Job summary

Fitness Formula Clubs (FFC) Elmhurst is seeking a Cafe Attendant for part-time roles across multiple openings. Shifts include 10 AM–3 PM, 6:40 AM–1 PM, and 1 PM–8 PM, with compensation at $15.40 per hour.

Responsibilities include greeting members, assisting with product selection, cash handling, and following food safety guidelines. The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and maintaining a welcoming café area.

Qualifications

• Outgoing & friendly personality to greet members and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Reliable and punctual to support a smooth-running café operation.
• Coachable and eager to learn, open to feedback and growth in the role.
• Illinois Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of employment (at own expense).

Location: FFC Elmhurst

Shifts: Shift 1: 10 AM - 3 PM; Shift 2: 6:40 AM - 1 PM; Shift 3: 1 PM - 8 PM

Compensation: $15.40 per hour

Your Role:

• Welcome with a Smile: Greet every member by name and create a warm, positive experience from the moment they arrive


• Engage & Assist: Use your strong communication skills to answer questions and assist customers with product selection, ensuring they have everything they need


• Keep It Clean: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café area that reflects FFC’s commitment to superior service


• Cash Handling: Manage transactions accurately, ensuring that the register reflects all sales and services


• Food & Safety: Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures according to local, state, and federal health codes


• Prepare Delicious Treats: Responsible for creating smoothies, food, and coffee-related beverages independently.


• Grill: Prepare and grill menu items for pool deck service while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and all health and safety standards.


• Team Collaboration: Work closely with your teammates and supervisor, taking on additional responsibilities as needed to keep the café running smoothly
