Job summary

Sightglass Coffee Roasters LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager, ensure smooth store operations, and step in as in-charge when needed. The role emphasizes coaching, staff development, service standards, cash handling, scheduling, and inventory management within a busy café environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership and stellar communication, with a passion for coffee and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability of 30–40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for coffee, food and beverage.
• Ability to function efficiently within a team.
• Exceptional customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shift flow by delegating tasks (cleaning, stocking, prepping) and keeping staff focused on customer support and sales.
• Communicate staff feedback and shift outcomes to the Store Manager.
• Educate staff and customers on current product offerings (beans, drinks, food, merchandise).
• Uphold product and service standards and support team to anticipate needs for smooth operations.
• Follow policies including cash handling, product standards, maintenance and hospitality best practices.
• Assist with staff scheduling within budget and aid hiring/recruitment, including interviews.
• Manage cash drawers, deposits, and monthly inventory as assigned.
