Job summary

Tropical Smoothie Café is seeking a Café Assistant Manager in Bluffton, SC to lead day-to-day cafe operations while promoting our culture of service and quality. You will supervise staff, assist with training, and ensure food safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes team development, operational excellence, and delivering a positive guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of managerial experience in the restaurant or fast-casual field.
• Experience in growing sales and providing excellent customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence in both front of the house and back of the house.
• Current ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with crew members and customers with a fun and welcoming attitude.
• Assists with training and provides continuous positive feedback for team members.
• Delegates daily functions of the café including product prep, making food and smoothies, serving customers, and completing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
• Communicates and stays updated on all marketing and promotional materials.
• Maintains and exceeds customer expectations to build brand loyalty.
• Trains as backup for manager functions such as hiring and onboarding process, scheduling, food and supply ordering, and monitoring sales growth and cost controls.
• Presents a consistent, professional image of the café and crew by maintaining all cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand.
• Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• 1 year of managerial experience in the restaurant or fast-casual field

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
