Job summary

Indiana Mills & Manufacturing Inc. d/b/a IMMI in Westfield, IN is seeking a Product Engineer-CAE to design and develop new seatbelt and occupant restraint systems, leveraging CAE tools and IPT for performance, cost, and timing targets.

The role collaborates with CAPE, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality and Finance; includes creating FEA models, presenting results, and refining designs with a hands-on, results-driven attitude; travel less than 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience using HyperMesh.
• 5 years of experience using LS-Dyna.
• 4 years of experience using Primer.
• Experience in vehicle crash simulation.
• Knowledge of FMVSS standards relevant to occupant safety and crash.
• Strong results orientation and a sense of urgency.
• Self-starter; hands-on and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop seatbelts and occupant restraint products.
• Use IPTrack (IPT), CAD/CAE tools, Test and Validation, Product Release.
• Provide design suggestions and CAE results with reports/presentations.
• Perform model correlations to refine designs during development.
• Collaborate with CAPE, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.
• Travel less than 5% domestically and internationally.
