Job summary

Indiana Mills & Manufacturing Inc. d/b/a IMMI seeks a Product Engineer-CAE in Westfield, Indiana to design and develop new seatbelts and occupant restraint products or improve current products using engineering tools such as IPT, CAD and CAE methods.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams, creating FEA models, reporting CAE results, and supporting design reviews to meet performance, cost and timing targets. Travel is less than 5% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 5 years of experience using HyperMesh.
• 5 years of experience using LS-Dyna.
• 4 years of experience using Primer.
• Experience in vehicle crash simulation.
• Knowledge of FMVSS standards relevant to occupant safety and crash (e.g., FMVSS 207, 208, 210, 222).
• Strong results orientation and a hands-on attitude with minimal supervision.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new seatbelts and occupant restraint products or improve current products.
• Use engineering tools and IPT to support design activities.
• Create FEA models and technical reports/presentations of CAE results.
• Collaborate with CAPE, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.
• Support design reviews and provide design suggestions to reduce development time.
