NuByt, Inc. is seeking a CAE Engineer to support HPC and engineering environments for semiconductor R&D. In this contract role, you will ensure stability, performance, and scalability of compute clusters, EDA tools, license systems, and user access environments.

You will install, configure, and upgrade applications, manage licenses, monitor queues, and automate routine tasks while collaborating with R&D teams. Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in HPC infrastructure, EDA/engineering IT, or Linux system administration.
• Strong working knowledge of job schedulers (e.g., LSF, SLURM, Grid Engine) and license management systems.
• Experience with engineering/EDA application environments (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA tools).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Perl, or similar) to automate operational tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and upgrade engineering applications; manage environment modules; perform qualification testing.
• Install, patch, and configure EDA tools; support new environment buildouts; troubleshoot installation issues.
• Operate and monitor FlexLM/FlexNet license servers; generate utilization and idle-license reports.
• Monitor HPC cluster health and job queues; triage failed/pending jobs; apply resource policies.
• Deploy and maintain remote desktop/login environments; resolve user session issues.
• Manage software assets and license inventory; support procurement and renewals; drive consolidation.
• Handle server provisioning, patching, storage/filesystem troubleshooting; automate monitoring and reports.
