Job summary

Saige Partners is hiring a CAE Engineer to support deployment, operation, and optimization of HPC compute infrastructure and engineering software environments used by engineering and R&D teams. This contract role involves hands-on Linux administration, EDA/CAE software support, and license systems management.

You will work across HPC clusters, EDA tools, and license servers, automating routine tasks and improving infrastructure reliability in collaboration with engineering and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3+ years supporting HPC infrastructure, EDA/engineering IT, or Linux systems.
• Experience with HPC schedulers (LSF/SLURM/Grid Engine) and license management systems.
• Experience supporting engineering/CAE/EDA software environments and automation via scripting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain engineering application environments and EDA tool deployments.
• Administer license servers (FlexLM/FlexNet or similar).
• Monitor HPC compute clusters, queues, and system performance.
• Develop scripts to automate monitoring, deployments, and repetitive tasks.
• Provide user support for engineering login environments and access.
• Assist in software procurement, renewals, deployment, and license efficiency.
• Continuously improve reliability of Linux-based engineering IT infrastructure.
