InDepth Engineering Solutions LLC in Detroit, MI is seeking a CAE HPC Systems Administrator to manage enterprise HPC environments for CAE workloads.

You will optimize schedulers, support CAE applications, and maintain RHEL infrastructure, OS provisioning, and automation scripts. The role demands strong Linux expertise, HPC discipline, and licensing management, with a focus on stability and throughput.

Formación

• 3+ years of Linux system administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on management of HPC clusters and workload schedulers.
• Experience with CAE applications and licensing.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Perl, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with CAE tools (Ansys, LS-DYNA, Nastran) is a plus.
• Knowledge of high-performance networking like InfiniBand is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• HPC Job Queuing & Workload Management across clusters.
• Administer, configure, and optimize HPC schedulers (LSF, Slurm, PBS).
• Design and tune job queues and resource allocation policies.
• Monitor performance and optimize efficiency and throughput.
• CAE Application and Licensing Support for CAE tools.
• Install, upgrade, test, and support CAE applications in production.
• Integrate CAE software with HPC scheduling systems.
• Manage CAE software licensing systems (e.g., FlexLM, RLM).
• Troubleshoot application-related issues with minimal downtime.
• Maintain RHEL environment across HPC clusters.
• OS provisioning, deployment, and patch management with automation.
• Develop scripts to automate monitoring and routine tasks.
• Maintain logs, monitoring, and SOPs.
• Hardware & Infrastructure management for servers, storage, networking.
• Capacity planning based on utilization and future demand.
• System health checks, incident tracking, and reporting.
• Document configurations, incidents, and best practices.
• Follow change management for updates and deployments.
• Provide accurate utilization and performance reporting.
