Under general supervision, analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems.
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Office of Design & Policy Support is seeking to hire a CADD Support Consultant to assist in the support and implementation of CADD software and workspaces within the Department and assist Department personnel in the development, testing, and implementation of CADD software; primarily Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Bentley OpenBridge Modeler with some need to support legacy workspaces for Bentley InRoads and Microstation SS2, CAiCE, and Bentley MicroStation.
Provide day-to-day user support:
Assist in maintaining the Department’s Engineering Software standards and documentation: Determining best way to use the Bentley software to achieve design or plan preparation goals or the best way to use the GDOT workspace to achieves these goals. The main development here would be the documentation of best practices (like how-to’s or workflows).
Develop/conduct CADD software/workspace user training sessions: Experience is preferred but not required. The candidate will be expected to help develop and put on training as needed.
