Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate across architecture, structures, roadway design, and MEP in a federated, clash-checked model throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 12 years of related experience, strong CAD/BIM fluency (Navisworks, Civil 3D, Revit), and the ability to mentor staff and interface with clients. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — Demonstrates ability to coordinate intelligent models across multiple design disciplines (architecture, vertical/transportation structures, roadway, and MEP).
• Model coordination & clash detection — Runs clash detection in Navisworks and leads resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — Establishes, documents, and enforces CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — Provides lower-level modeling personnel with sketches and guidance; mentors production staff across offices.
• Interfaces with clients, agencies, and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements and data handoff standards.
• Performs other duties as required.
