Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced CADD/BIM professional to join our transit and multimodal team in the United States. The role focuses on intelligent modeling coordination, clash detection, and maintaining BIM standards across offices, with mentorship of junior staff.

You will work on large-scale projects, coordinate across architecture, vertical structures, roadways, and MEP, and ensure model integrity from planning through construction. Travel is required up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting.
• 12 years of related experience in CADD/BIM for transit/multimodal projects.
• Experience with BIM standards and governance per transit agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for deliverables.
• Coordinate model delivery and data handoffs with clients and subconsultants.
• Perform model health checks and ensure interoperability across Autodesk toolset.
