Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to join our behavioral health team in Rutherfordton, NC. The role focuses on structured, evidence-based services for individuals with substance use disorders, including assessment, counseling, education, and relapse prevention planning.

You will work with other professionals to ensure integrated care and deliver both individual and group counseling, with travel within service areas to provide community-based support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active CADC certification in North Carolina required.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group counseling for clients in recovery.
• Conduct screenings, intake, and assessments to guide treatment plans.
• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing substance use and co-occurring concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention and case management.
• Maintain accurate documentation per agency and state standards.
• Coordinate care with physicians and mental health professionals.
• Travel within assigned service areas to provide community-based support.
