Job summary

El Futuro is hiring a full-time, bilingual Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to provide outpatient substance use treatment for adolescents and adults in North Carolina. The role includes comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatment planning.

Remote work is possible with NC residency; in-person at Durham or Siler City clinics at least once a week. Evening groups (6–8pm) and weekend community prevention events may be required.

Qualifications

• LCAS or CADC valid license to treat substance use disorders in North Carolina.
• Bilingual fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments, assign diagnoses, deliver treatment plans.
• Facilitate Substance Use Groups as needed (1–2 per week).
• Plan relevant content and adapt to participant needs in groups.
• Track attendance and progress of clients.
• Write timely notes for client participation in groups.
• Assist with monitoring and facilitation of El Futuro’s Substance Use program.
• Conduct individual therapy.
• Support community events related to substance use prevention, education and harm reduction.
