Job summary

PGIC, Inc. seeks a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor – Registered (CADC-R) to provide supervised substance use counseling and support in the Clinical department.

You will assist clients on their recovery journey with education, relapse prevention, and coordination of treatment services. Responsibilities include intake screenings, individual and group sessions, service plan development, and meticulous documentation to meet PGIC and state standards.

Qualifications

• Registered CADC-R with NCSAPPB.
• High school diploma or higher in a related field (Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work preferred).
• Experience providing substance use services is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct substance use counseling and recovery support under clinical supervision.
• Conduct intake screenings, assessments, and individual or group sessions as assigned.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized service plans.
• Facilitate educational and therapeutic groups focused on recovery and life skills.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation according to PGIC and state standards.
• Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and continuing education activities.
• Support clients in developing coping strategies and relapse prevention plans.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards per state regulations and NCSAPPB requirements.
