Job summary

Primera is seeking a CAD Technician to support the Chicago Department of Water’s CIP. The role starts on-site for 90 days at the Jardine Water Purification Plant, with eventual work-from-home flexibility.

You’ll draft and update drawings in MicroStation/AutoCAD, focusing on water main and service line projects and coordinating CAD across teams. You’ll collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers, ensuring accurate, standards‑driven CAD files for a growing infrastructure program in

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience or technical training with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Comfortable working primarily in MicroStation within Primera.
• Ability to interface and collaborate with designers, engineers and project managers.
• Detail‑oriented drafting with accurate, organized drawings.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and updating drawings in CAD based on engineering/field markups.
• Prepare drawings for water main and water service line projects.
• Work daily in MicroStation within Primera.
• Coordinate CAD for projects and manage project drawing lists.
• Prepare drawings for permits per local authorities and agencies.
• Adhere to company and industry standards for CAD files.
