Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CADD Technician II - Water Main Replacement Design to draft construction drawings for the City of Chicago’s water distribution infrastructure. You will coordinate with design engineers to produce final approved drawings, ensuring compliance with DWM CADD standards and project-wide quality control.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and adherence to schedules in a hybrid Chicago environment, with opportunities to contribute to major water infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• HS + 2 years related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
• Valid Driver's License; ability to pass MVR check.
• Experience with MicroStation, Bluebeam and GIS is preferred.
• Strong collaboration and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create Construction Documents utilizing MicroStation.
• Generate detailed utility basemaps and proposed design drawings per metrics.
• Coordinate with design engineers during Water Main Replacement projects.
• Develop utility survey plans for Water Main and Force Account team.
• Adhere to DWM CADD standards; suggest refinements as needed.
• Create and update IDOT Traffic Control and Water Main Installation details.
