Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a drafting professional to create accurate road construction plan sheets, including titles, indices, cross sections, and profiles. You will work from mark-ups/redlines to prepare plan sheets and display materials for public meetings, while maintaining confidentiality of client and company information.

The role requires CAD proficiency, strong communication in a team setting, and the ability to meet deadlines and work outdoors when necessary.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD or completion of a 2-year CAD program.
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2004 or higher software.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to interpret and complete mark-ups/redlines to plan sheets.
• Able to work within a team concept.
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work seated 9+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week as needed.
• Able to work outdoors traversing uneven terrain.
• Agree to abide by Company policies.
• Flexible position as defined in Company Policy.

Overview

Create accurate and detailed plan sheets including but not limited to:

• Title
• Index
• Typical Cross Sections
• Maintenance of Traffic Details
• Plan & Profiles
• Details
• Cross-Section sheets

Prepare various components of road construction plans via “mark-ups/redlines.”

Prepare “display” materials for Public meetings.

Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding clients and company practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree in CAD or completion of a 2-year CAD program
• Proficient with a computer and AutoCAD 2004 or higher software
• Possess good communication skills.
• Able to interpret and complete “mark-ups/redlines” to Plan sheets
• Able to work within a “team” concept
• Able to meet deadlines
