Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a CAD Manager to lead a team of CAD technicians across multiple offices, focusing on SUE and utility mapping in AutoCAD Civil 3D for DOT and utility projects. You will assign workloads, train staff, oversee QA/QC, and develop efficient workflows.

You will drive CAD standards, templates, and automation tools to improve speed and consistency, while coordinating with project managers and colleagues on deadlines and budgets.

Competenze

• 5+ years of CAD drafting experience on SUE, utility mapping, and survey for DOT, land development, renewable energy, and public utilities.
• 3+ years leading, supervising, or managing a team of CAD technicians.
• Experience training, teaching, and mentoring CAD staff of varying experience levels.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, data shortcuts, styles and templates.
• Ability to develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, and workflows.

Mansioni

• Manage a team of CAD technicians across multiple projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Train and mentor CAD staff on Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, ArcGIS, CAD standards, and SUE deliverable requirements.
• Develop and deliver training programs, onboarding plans, and reference materials for CAD staff.
• Provide regular feedback, set performance goals, and participate in performance reviews and staffing decisions.
• Forecast team workload and coordinate staffing with project managers and department leadership.
• Oversee QA/QC of drawings and deliverables produced by the CAD team before submittal.
• Own and maintain company CAD standards, Civil 3D templates, styles, and workflows.
• Lead development of AutoCAD automation tools to improve production speed and consistency.
• Prepare CAD drawings, exhibits, and deliverables in AutoCAD Civil 3D for SUE and utility mapping.
• Process field data in Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D, including utility locating and survey data.
• Manage utility data in ArcGIS and exchange data between GIS and CAD deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, field crews, engineers, and other staff on project needs.
