Job summary

Team Fishel in Hampton, VA is hiring a CAD Survey Technician II to support our Electric utility survey division with drafting duties, working with the Land Surveyor, field crew, and other CAD Survey Technicians. Ideal candidate has 2+ years land survey drafting experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, Carlson Survey preferred, and the ability to read deeds and construction plans.

Must have a valid driver's license and be available to work 40+ hours per week.

Qualifications

2+ years land survey drafting experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD drafting software; Carlson Survey experience is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret deeds, plats, and construction plans.
Familiarity with land records research is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, track, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High attention to detail, with ability to provide QA/QC to your work.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, taking direction and training as needed.
Valid driver's license.
Availability to work 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

Conduct survey computations for boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout work.
Process daily field data from field crews.
Drafting to include easement exhibits and topographic survey basemaps.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with office staff and field crews.
