Job summary

Team Fishel in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a CAD Survey Technician II to support the Electric utility survey division. You will work with the Land Surveyor, field crews and other CAD technicians to draft basemaps and easement exhibits for design and construction.

The role emphasizes accurate drafting, QA/QC, and collaboration, with training provided and opportunities for career development. Applicants should have 2+ years land survey drafting experience and proficiency in AutoCAD (Carlson

Qualifications

2+ years land survey drafting experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD drafting software; Carlson Survey experience is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret deeds, plats, and construction plans.
Familiarity with land records research is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, track, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High attention to detail, with ability to provide QA/QC to your work.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, taking direction and training as needed.
Availability to work 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

Conduct survey computations for boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout work
Process daily field data from field crews
Drafting to include easement exhibits and topographic survey basemaps
Collaborate and communicate effectively with office staff and field crews
