Job summary

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in Utility Engineering, is hiring an entry level CAD Survey Technician I based in our Hampton, VA office. The successful candidate will support the Electric utility survey division with drafting duties and the generation of base maps for Design and Construction teams.

This full-time, in-person role provides specific survey training and opportunities to work with both office staff and field crews.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to self-QA/QC.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently while taking direction and training as needed.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct survey computations for boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout work.
• Process daily field data from field crews.
• Drafting to include survey base maps.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with both office staff and field crews.
