Job summary

Team Fishel in Hampton, VA is hiring a CAD Survey Technician II to support our Electric utility survey division with drafting duties, working with the Land Surveyor, field crew, and other CAD Survey Technicians. Ideal candidate has 2+ years land survey drafting experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, Carlson Survey preferred, and the ability to read deeds and construction plans.

Must have a valid driver's license and be available to work 40+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years land survey drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD drafting software; Carlson Survey experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret deeds, plats, and construction plans.
• Familiarity with land records research is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, track, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail, with ability to provide QA/QC to your work.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, taking direction and training as needed.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work 40+ hours per week.

Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice in Utility Engineering and Construction, is hiring a CAD Survey Technician II for our Hampton, VA operation with primary responsibility to support our Electric utility survey division with drafting duties. The ideal candidate will work with the Land Surveyor, field crew, and other CAD Survey Technicians to prepare and maintain Survey basemaps to support Design and Construction work groups. This position requires consistent collaboration and coordination with other Teammates. Prior CAD Survey drafting experience is required and training will be provided as necessary.
