Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey Technician to support field crews and project managers in producing precise survey deliverables, including processing field data, drafting topographic maps, and reviewing boundary records. The role contributes to the design and construction of infrastructure projects and requires experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.

Qualifications

Experience in Survey/Civil profession required.
Minimum of 2+ Years of experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
OpenRoads Designer experience required.
Railroad and/or DOT experience preferred.
LASER Scanning/ LIDAR/ experience a plus.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing selected drafting assignments, quickly and accurately.
Transform field collected electronic files into Autodesk Civil 3D (CAD) produced drawings.
Produces ALTA, Boundary, Topographic Surveys, As-Built drawings, maps, Specific Purpose Surveys, Plot plans and Subdivision Record Plats. by using AutoCAD Civil 3D (CAD).
Reduce field notes from field collected data into survey/civil grade base maps.
LiDAR Calibration, Classification and Quality Control.
Photogrammetric processing of Aerial Imagery.
