Job summary

Perrygo Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a CAD Drafter at the junior to journeyman level to support a Navy customer in the Pax River/ Lexington Park, MD area. The role requires on-site work with limited travel and a Secret clearance.

The candidate will prepare and update CAD drawings, develop technical drawings with dimensions and materials, and coordinate changes with engineering teams. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required for progression from junior to journeyman levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for Junior and Journeyman levels.
• Security clearance: Secret (interim acceptable) – US Citizen.
• On-site work with <5% travel.

This role supports a Navy customer in the Pax River / Lexington Park, MD area.

Job Description and Responsibilities:Provide computer-aided design and drafting support.

• Prepare and update CAD drawings from engineering sketches and specifications.
• Develop technical drawings showing dimensions, materials, and procedures.
• Apply engineering and manufacturing concepts to drawing development.
• Coordinate drawing changes with engineering and technical staff.

Basic Requirements:Junior: less than 3 years of experience related to the position’s duties. Journeyman: 3 to 10 years of experience related to the position’s duties. Candidates will be considered at the appropriate level based on qualifying education and experience.

Education Requirements:Junior and Journeyman: Bachelor’s degree. A bachelor’s degree may be replaced by 6 additional years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree plus 4 additional years of relevant experience.

Security Clearance:Secret clearance required; interim Secret is acceptable (must be a US Citizen).

Telework and Travel:Primarily on-site at contractor or Government facilities. Telework may be available based on assigned duties and company approval. Less than 5% travel.
