Perrygo Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Windows System Administrator and Team Lead to join our on-site team supporting a Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD. You will lead 9 systems administrators, oversee day-to-day Windows server and desktop management, and drive improvements in performance, security, and reliability.

Role requires 7+ years of Windows server administration and Team Lead experience, with Security+ or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 9 Systems Administrators on-site at Patuxent River NAS, Lexington Park, MD.
• Perform system admin duties for Windows servers and desktops; monitor health and troubleshoot.
• Apply STIGs, complete ACAS scans and RMF tasks; manage patching and backups.
• Create and update PowerShell scripts; manage AD accounts and permissions.
• Provide monthly status reports and oversee team tasking and SOPs.

We are excited for the opportunity to bring aboard highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our teams. Currently, we are seeking a Windows System Administrator and Team Lead. This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 9 Systems Administrators on-site full-time at Patuxent River NAS. The Team Lead will also perform system administrator duties and assist with day‑to‑day management of Windows Servers and desktop systems (hardware and software), including monitoring performance, checking system health, troubleshoot systems and user account issues, and RMF authorization tasks such as STIGs and ACAS scanning.

• Support routine server maintenance tasks, including disk cleanup, storage allocation, and verifying backups.
• Perform basic user and group management in Active Directory, such as creating accounts, resetting passwords, and updating permissions.
• Oversee and maintain patching by applying updates and mitigations, and documenting completed work.
• Monitor event logs and escape issues related to system errors, warnings, or security alerts.
• Create, update and manage BATCH/PowerShell scripts for automating tasks.
• Apply STIGs and complete ACAS scans
• Manage team tasking, build sprints, maintain SOPs, provide monthly status reports, and supervisory tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

7+ years Windows server administration. Team Lead experience. Security+ or other qualifying CSWF certifications.

Education Requirements:

Degree preferred.

Security Clearance:

Top Secret or above (must be a US Citizen). Candidate can start with an interimclearance.

Telework and Travel:

On-site.
