Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions seeks a CAD Operator to layout and draft low voltage systems as designed by others. This role emphasizes accuracy and timely delivery of all related drawing packages, with AutoCAD as the primary tool.

Ideal candidates will be AutoCAD-trained with 2–5 years of drafting experience, able to read and interpret system designs, and capable of coordinating with project managers and sales to produce compliant, high-quality drawings from Orlando.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of drafting experience using AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and related software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and update system designs prepared by others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lay out and draft systems as directed by design engineers and managers.
• Develop floor plans, riser diagrams, schematics, power calculations, and control panel layouts using AutoCAD.
• Follow established design and drafting standards.
• Adhere to Sciens policies and safety programs.
• Work with sales and project managers to ensure efficient, high-quality designs.
• Assist designers, sales team, and project managers with organizing and prioritizing work.
