Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense seeks a CAD Designer II to join the Tucson Engineering team, supporting design, manufacturing and testing of mechanical and fluid power products. You will collaborate with Project and Manufacturing Engineers, generating and reviewing models and drawings under established directives.

Responsibilities include applying GD&T, completing Windchill tasks, and preparing layouts for development of new products, with a strong emphasis on quality and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in CAD related position.
• AAS in CAD or assoc degree +5 years OR HS diploma +7 years.
• Demonstrated CAD modeling ability and GD&T proficiency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Generate and modify models and drawings using CAD software following CAD Directives.
• Check models/drawings for adherence to directives and release requirements.
• Complete Windchill tasks for creating, changing, or releasing documents.
• Prepare engineering layouts showing component relationships for new products.
• Apply GD&T to define design requirements for manufacturing and inspection.
• Create assembly layouts to verify clearances between parts.
• Generate manufacturing and tooling designs under engineer guidance.
