Sargent Aerospace & Defense, a key player in precision mechanical components, seeks a CAD Designer II to support design, manufacturing and testing efforts. The role collaborates with project and manufacturing engineers to produce engineering documentation and release packages, ensuring GD&T application and adherence to directives.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in CAD related position.
• ASME Y14.5 GD&T proficiency.
• Proficient in MS Office software.
• CAD modeling ability.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Generate and modify CAD models and drawings per directives.
• Prepare layouts showing component relationships for new products.
• Apply GD&T to define design requirements for manufacturing and inspection.
• Create assembly layouts to verify clearances between parts.
• Perform tolerancing and dimensioning stackups as directed by engineers.
• Update CAD procedures and work as part of a team.
