Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense has an immediate opening for a CAD Designer II to join the Engineering department. The role involves modeling and drawing tasks to support design, manufacturing and testing of mechanical and fluid power products.

Must have strong CAD skills, GD&T knowledge, and experience with Creo/Windchill. Candidates should be a U.S. citizen and able to collaborate with project and manufacturing engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a CAD-related position.
• Proficient in applying ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Generate and modify CAD models and drawings following directives.
• Review release package documentation prior to release.
• Create assembly layouts and check clearances between parts.
• Perform tolerance and stackups for parts and assemblies.
• Prepare layouts showing component relationships for new products.
• Create, update, and review Desktop Procedures for CAD tasks.
• Work collaboratively within the Engineering team to complete tasks.
