Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a CAD Drafter to translate conceptual designs into fully detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring manufacturability for aerospace components.

You will generate MIL-STD-31000 compliant TDPs, perform rigorous drawing checks, support engineering tasks across mechanical subsystems, and collaborate across disciplines while maintaining documentation in PDM/PLM systems; U.S. Security Clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting; SolidWorks and AutoCAD required.
• Expert-level knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and ASME Y14.100 drawing practices.
• Understanding of fabrication methods to ensure manufacturability.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• MS Office familiarity.
• Ability to work collaboratively in lab, shop floor, or office.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Translate conceptual designs into detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Prepare TDP drawings up to MIL-STD-31000 Level 3.
• Review drawings and parts lists for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Support engineering tasks for mechanical structures and subsystems.
• Perform tolerance analyses and GD&T verifications.
• Manage release and revision of documents in PDM/PLM.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems teams and shop personnel.
