Job summary

ADVICS North America is seeking a CAD Drafter to support manufacturing engineering. You will prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics from existing concepts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards. Proficiency in CAD software and the ability to interpret complex part prints are essential.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in CAD technology and up to 3 years in a similar function. Teamwork and clear communication are expected to collaborate effectively on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in CAD technology and up to 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD fundamentals and standard drafting practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work with technical drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings from existing concepts and update simpler drawings to improve or modify designs.
• Verify accuracy of drawings and revise floor plans as requested by engineering.
• Apply industrial standards to drawings, including tolerancing.
• Design basic mechanical fixtures and tooling.
• Create layout drawings, electrical schematics, parts lists, and tool drawings.
• Maintain and organize drawing files for easy retrieval.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities.
• Work overtime as required by the company.
