Advics is seeking a Cad Operator I-OCD1 to support engineering with detailed drawings, schematics, and tooling layouts on the shop floor.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in CAD technology and up to 3 years of related experience, with proficiency in CAD software and standard drafting practices. You will work under supervision and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Design Technology; up to 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering or similar function.
Proficiency in Computer Aided Design and standard drafting practices.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and technical journals.

Responsabilités

Prepare detailed drawings primarily from existing concepts.
Update lower complexity drawings to improve or modify existing designs.
Verify completed work for accuracy; revise floor plans as requested by engineering.
Apply industrial standards to drawings, including drawing creation and tolerancing.
Design or adapt basic mechanical fixturing and/or tooling designs.
Create layout drawings, detailed drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic/electric schematics, parts lists, and tool and gage drawings.
Maintain and update drawing files.
Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities.
Work overtime on a daily and/or weekend basis as needed.
