Job summary

Atec, Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to prepare clear, complete and accurate working drawings from rough sketches or notes, using CAD software. The role requires attention to dimensions, materials, and assembly relationships across complex projects.

The candidate will read BOMs and schematics (electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic) and ensure compliance with ISO9000 and internal drawing standards while collaborating with Production, Technical Publications, and QA teams.

Qualifications

• AA degree or 3–8 years related experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, OrCAD, or DraftSite preferred.
• CSWP certification encouraged with related drawing/design specialties.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, complete drawings from sketches or notes.
• Review drawings for dimensions, materials, and assembly relationships.
• Adhere to ISO9000 and internal drawing standards.
• Read BOMs and electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Purchasing, and other teams.
