Job summary

Wells is seeking an experienced mold designer to create and manage 2D/3D molds in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp for precast production. You will interpret engineering drawings, optimize master molds, and ensure designs integrate with CNC programs across multiple plants.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on CAD experience, CNC knowledge, and a solid understanding of manufacturing workflows to support efficient, production-ready mold layouts.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD and modeling software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks)
• Ability to read engineering/architectural drawings and translate into production-ready molds
• Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing workflows

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and manage 2D/3D molds using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
• Interpret drawings and specifications to develop accurate mold types
• Organize and optimize master molds for efficient production and pouring
• Collaborate with multiple manufacturing plants to adapt models per job
• Develop layouts to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
• Maintain documentation of design changes for CNC and production teams
• Coordinate with CNC programming team for guidance and support
• Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration
