Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in human resources, information systems, business administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting or administering HRIS, workforce management, or related HR technology systems.
  • Experience with UKG Workforce Management is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary administrator for UKG Workforce Management, including timekeeping, attendance, scheduling, system configuration, and security.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot UKG WFM to meet business requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve UKG WFM issues, including timekeeping discrepancies and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain HRIS reports, dashboards, and data extracts for HR, payroll, and leadership.
  • Provide training and support to managers, HR, payroll, and other users of UKG WFM.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and HR to identify and resolve workforce management issues and improve functionality.
  • Assist with system upgrades, releases, testing, and implementations of new WFM functionality.
  • Translate business questions into data requirements and reporting outputs.

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Houston, Texas 77024.

Hybrid Schedule: 4 days in office; 1 working from home

Highly preferred: UKG Pro, Workforce Management and OneView experience

JOB SUMMARY: The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of the company’s HR technology environment, with primary responsibility for UKG Workforce Management (WFM). While UKG Workforce Management will be the primary focus of the position, the HRIS Analyst will also support HR reporting, data analysis, system projects, data integrity, process improvement, and other HR technology initiatives.

This role requires technical system administration, analytical capability, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. The HRIS Analyst must be highly responsive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift based on business needs. The position requires a strong sense of ownership and urgency, the ability to independently manage multiple priorities, and the willingness and ability to expand into new systems, reporting responsibilities, projects, and areas of HRIS support as business needs evolve.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Serve as a primary administrator and subject matter resource for UKG Workforce Management, including Timekeeping, Attendance, Scheduling, system configuration, business structures, pay rules, work rules, profiles, security, and other applicable functionality.
  • Configure, maintain, test, and troubleshoot UKG Workforce Management functionality to support business requirements and operational needs.
  • Investigate and resolve UKG Workforce Management issues, including timekeeping discrepancies, configuration issues, integrations, employee access, and other system-related concerns.
  • Evaluate the potential payroll, employee, compliance, and downstream system impacts of UKG Workforce Management configuration changes prior to implementation.
  • Partner with Payroll, HR, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve workforce management issues and improve system functionality.
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, releases, testing, and implementation of new UKG Workforce Management functionality.
  • Develop and maintain system and reporting documentation, including configuration records, procedures, workflows, testing documentation, report logic, data sources, definitions, validation requirements, and end-user resources.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to managers, employees, HR, Payroll, and other users of UKG Workforce Management.
  • Generate, develop, and maintain standard and ad hoc HRIS reports, and data extracts to support HR, Payroll, compliance, audits, and leadership.
  • Assume responsibility for assigned recurring HR and HRIS reporting activities, ensuring reports are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Analyze HR and workforce data to identify trends, discrepancies, anomalies, and opportunities for process or system improvement.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliations across HRIS, payroll, workforce management, and other applicable systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Investigate reporting and data discrepancies, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions through resolution.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of HR metrics, dashboards, and recurring management reporting.
  • Translate business questions and reporting requirements into appropriate data, reports, and analytical outputs.
  • Interpret data and communicate findings in a clear and meaningful manner to HR and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in and independently manage assigned HRIS projects, system enhancements, implementations, testing initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience preferred. Three to five years of experience supporting or administering HRIS, workforce management, time and attendance, or related HR technology systems. Experience with UKG Workforce Management is strongly preferred.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of workforce management and time and attendance concepts.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS processes, employee data, organizational structures, payroll-related data, and HR technology.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems, functionality, reporting tools, and business processes quickly.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, conditional formatting, data validation, data cleansing, and manipulation and analysis of large datasets.
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills with the ability to develop, validate, interpret, and communicate HRIS reports, metrics, and analytical findings.
  • Experience developing standard and ad hoc reports using HRIS reporting tools
  • Ability to understand reporting requirements and independently determine the appropriate data, fields, filters, calculations, and presentation needed to satisfy the business request.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, evaluate potential impacts, and recommend solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, particularly when performing work that may impact payroll, employee records, system access, compliance, reporting, or business decisions.
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness with the ability to appropriately prioritize time-sensitive and business-critical matters.
