Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in health services or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in financial counseling or related healthcare roles.
• Working knowledge of insurance providers, portals, and authorization processes.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations for procedures; document payer communications.
• Assist with sliding fee applications and cost-of-care estimates for patients.
• Review self-pay accounts and arrange payment plans with patients.
• Guide patients through Medicaid/Marketplace applications and track status to enrollment.
• Transition eligible patients to Medicaid or other programs to reduce financial risk.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
