Job summary

RANGE is seeking a Construction Technician-I to support underground and aerial cabling deployments under the Construction Supervisor. The role involves hands-on labor including earthwork, trenching, splicing, and cable maintenance, with strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols. Frequent travel to project sites is expected.

You will assist with installation and removal of cabling, perform tests, document work, and operate basic equipment while learning from Technician-II and leads.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of one year of construction experience and operation of mechanical/pneumatic equipment.
• Valid state driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Place direct buried cabling (fiber, copper) into ground.
• Perform earthwork with hand tools and equipment.
• Maintain, test, repair, and splice buried cables.
• Restore disturbed surfaces to acceptable conditions.
• Operate heavy equipment under supervision as needed.
• Install and remove aerial cable and pole lines.
• Mount demarcation devices and protectors at customer sites.
• Document time, materials, and testing results in reports.
