Job description

Prince Telecom is hiring entry-level Cable Installation Technicians in Peoria, IL to join our team and help connect America!

Compensation: $17/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities
  1. Resolve, repair, and install cable TV, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment according to guidelines.
  2. Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
  3. Analyze and record test results within prescribed parameters by testing company-issued devices and customer devices.
  4. Interface with customers to identify and resolve customer-perceived issues.
  5. Drive a company vehicle safely between home/office, warehouse, and work sites.
  6. Maintain a clean and stocked vehicle with necessary equipment.
  7. Complete paperwork accurately, including work order updates.
Customer Service Duties
  • Greet and interact professionally with customers, including responding to escalations and repeated concerns.
  • Review requested services with customers to ensure understanding and agreement.
  • Educate customers on product and service usage.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces like crawl spaces or attics.
  • Experience working in inclement weather.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willing to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
