Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Cable Assembly Test Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will build cables in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions, perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and repair to support programs ranging from commercial to DoD customers.

Responsibilities include cable construction, testing, troubleshooting, and repair, using tools such as strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Experience with cable assembly tools and equipment.
Testing cables for continuity, shorts, insulation resistance, and insertion loss.
US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Final Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies per engineering drawings and work instructions.
Use tools for cable manufacturing (strippers, crimpers, soldering iron) to assemble cables.
Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing engineers, and technicians to anticipate issues.
Perform basic testing to identify faults in signal and connectivity.
