Job summary

Micro-Coax, an Amphenol Company, seeks a Manufacturing Associate to perform simple to complex cable production and quality inspections. The role emphasizes timely, accurate manufacturing and adherence to customer specifications within a safety-conscious plant environment.

You will read job orders, operate basic tools, document data electronically, and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to optimize processes and throughput.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings and schematics.
• Willing to cross-train and be effective in various processes.
• Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related teams.

Responsibilities

• Convert raw materials into finished product.
• Build product to standard rate.
• Reads job order for product specifications.
• Complete in-process inspections.
• Interface with computer software to find documents and complete data entry.
• Builds simple point-to-point cables following drawings and instructions to a high level of quality and productivity.
• Demonstrates proper use of basic hand tools (soldering gun, wrenches, hand strippers, trimmers, wire cutters, chop saw, rulers, microscope/magnifier).
• Completes necessary paperwork per work instructions.
• Make process recommendations with Engineering and Quality to increase productivity.
• Adopt a total quality mindset and ensure process quality in each step.
• Participate in Kaizen and CIS activities as needed.
• Perform duties to meet quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals.
• Contribute to team in a collaborative and supportive manner.
• Maintain clean, organized work environment and adhere to safety standards.
