Job summary

Amphenol CIT in the United States is seeking an Electrical Assembler I (Coax) to build simple coax cables and wire harnesses for aerospace applications, following drawings and quality procedures in a modern manufacturing environment.

You will use heat guns, crimpers, soldering irons, wire strippers, and measuring tools to assemble components, identify wires by color code, complete paperwork, maintain a clean workstation, and follow safety guidelines to support on-time production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-year related experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Build simple point-to-point coax cables following drawings and instructions.
• Demonstrates proper use of basic hand tools: heat gun, hand crimpers, soldering, solder pot, ruler and other machines such as pinning machines and automatic wire strippers.
• Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence.
• Completes all necessary paperwork relating to the building of coax assemblies.
• Make sure that workstation is clean, organized and free of hazardous materials.
• Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
• Other duties as required in support of the department and the company.
