Job summary

Rentex is hiring a Quality Control Technician: Cable to inspect and test cable assemblies, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards. This role partners with production and engineering to identify defects and drive improvements, documenting results and maintaining calibration of equipment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus hands-on QC or inspection experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical testing methods.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of cable products to verify conformance to drawings and standards.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing on cables using specialized equipment.
• Document inspection results and test data in quality control systems and reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify root causes and actions.
• Assist in developing and updating QC procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain calibration and proper functioning of inspection equipment.
• Stand for the shift and handle cables up to 60lbs during inspection and testing.
